American Actor is a San Diego-based indie rock band founded by Brendan Nyhan. Originally formed in Brooklyn, the band quickly gained notoriety before going quiet for several years.

Now reunited in San Diego—Brendan’s hometown and where it all started—American Actor is building again from the ground up.

Influenced by Modest Mouse, Nirvana, Interpol, and The Killers, Brendan returned to music after years in finance, driven by a voice he couldn’t ignore.
